Federal Government Comes Down Hard On Private Jet Owners In The Country

The Federal Government is coming down hard on owners of private jets in the country who fail to regularize their documentation in conformity with their operational status.

In a statement by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) signed by the General Manager, Public Affairs, Fan Ndubuoke, the airlines which do not regularize their operations would face severe sanctions from the regulatory authority.

The sanctions would include grounding of operations, revocation of licence and outright seizure of aircraft forthwith.

It also gets worse as any defaulting operator that has their licence revoked will be required to pay a 20 Million Naira fine to secure the release of the aircraft.

All foreign registered privately operated aircraft owners are therefore being urged to regularize their documentation to enable them operate a legitimate commercial operation.
