Is it really right for the People's Democratic Party, PDP, to have printed only one Presidential Nomination form and Expression of Interest form for the upcoming 2015 election?
Well, it seems that some of the party members disagree as yesterday according to reports, 2 members of the party stormed the national secretariat of the party to pick their Presidential Nomination forms and the Expression of Interest forms, but the party refused to give it to them.
The PDP says it printed only one Presidential Nomination form and Expression of Interest form and that it was reserved for President Jonathan who has been adopted as the sole presidential candidate of the party.
The presidential aspirants are Abduljelil Tafawa Balewa, son of the former Prime Minister, and a female presidential aspirant, Akasoba Duke–Abiola, from Kalabari in Rivers State who claims to be one of the wives of the late acclaimed winner of the June 12, 1993, election, Chief MKO Abiola.
Balewa told journalists that he went to the PDP national secretariat with the stipulated 20 Million Naira for the Nomination form and 2 Million Naira for the Expression of Interest form, but he was turned down by the officials of the party.

On why he would bother getting the form when aware the PDP has adopted Jonathan as its sole candidate, Balewa said his aspiration to become the president was as a result of 40 Million signatures he collected from Nigerians who are urging him to contest for the presidential ticket of the PDP.
However, when contacted, the National Publicity Secretary of PDP, Olisa Metuh, said he was unaware of this and pleaded for time to consult with the national chairman and the national organising secretary of the party.
