Low Electricity In Ghana? Federal Government Threatens To Cut Gas Supply To Them

There are reports that the Federal Government, has threatened to cut the gas supply to Ghana’s power plants due to their 100 million Ghanaian cedis debt.

According to a former Chief Executive Officer of the Volta River Authority, Charles Wireku-Brobbey, Nigeria’s decision to cut gas supply to Ghana’s Aboadze thermal plant might worsen the power supply in their country.

Currently, Ghana has been struggling to meet power demand because of low water levels at its largest hydroelectric dam.
