Another Woman Becomes Deputy Inspector General Of Police In Nigeria


Two newly promoted Deputy Inspectors-General of Police have been decorated by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Solomon Arase and one of them is a woman.

DIG Chintua Amajor-Onu and DIG Adeniji Jubril Olawale have served in various sensitive capacities and have contributed immensely towards Police service delivery.

The IGP admonished them to inject their wealth of experience to further improve the Police Management Team.

Meanwhile, the first female DIG was Ivy Okoronkwo and she was appointed in 2010 by the then IGP, Hafiz Ringim.
