There have been reports that Governor Babatunde Fashola actually sacked APC governorship candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode from the civil service because of financial impropriety.
However, Fashola has come up to publicly deny such reports. According to him, Ambode was the state’s Accountant General before leaving the civil service and he resigned voluntarily after 27 years in service and he even gave him a letter of commendation.
The governor went on to say it was part of the desperate attempts by the PDP aimed at deceiving voters in order to win Saturday’s governorship election.
