Education In Sokoto State Gets Boost With Employment Of 500 New Teachers

Education in Sokoto State just got a boost as 500 teachers have been employed to address the shortfall ‎in teaching personnel in public secondary schools in the state.

Governor Aminu Tambuwal made this known yesterday when he received a UNICEF delegation who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

According to him, the state government would sign a memorandum of understanding with the National Teachers Institute, NTI, to train teachers of basic education in the state.

The governor also expressed worry over the low enrollment figures of girls in schools, saying he will personally lead the advocacy for more girls to be admitted into schools.
