No More Ribena For The Kids? Tesco Supermarket To Stop Selling Them In Stores

British supermarket giant, Tesco will stop selling sugary drinks like Ribena and Caprisun for children from their shops from September.

According to reports from Daily Mail, this is to help tackle the rising issue of obesity as it will be replaced by no-added-sugar alternatives.

Speaking on this development, Tesco’s buying manager, said it is part of a 10-point plan against obesity  and most of their suppliers are in support of it.

However, while health campaigners have praised the supermarket for the changes, many people have taken to social media to criticize this move but the supermarket says it is not a complete ban on Ribena and Caprisun but just the children’s cartons as bigger packs will still be available for adults.
