Imagine Just Polishing Shoes & Becoming A Millionaire?

This is exactly what Lere Mgayiya from South Africa does and he is now the proud owner of his own house and able to send his daughter to a private school.

According to reports from CNN, if someone has shined your shoes in a South African airport, it's probably thanks to Lere Mgayiya who claims to be the biggest shoe-shine company in South Africa.

He says in Johannesburg, he shines about 350 pairs of shoes a day, and about 120 pairs in Cape Town and another 120 in Durban. Of course he doesn't do it alone and boasts of about 45 employees in his Lere's Shoe Shine company and is already planning on partnerships in America, UK, as well as expansion across Africa.

With his annual revenue of almost $230,ooo, Lere's story was not always this rosy as he had to go through a string of failures to get to where he is today.

Before becoming South Africa's shoe shining king, Lere was distributing boarding cards for South African Airways but after 5 years he was made redundant. After this he dis a series of other jobs which didn't work out well and hunger drove him to start shining shoes at the airport.

His advice to anyone who wants to start a business is self-belief and he says from working 5am to 9pm daily, he now does only one shift till 12pm. Lere Mgayiya says all the conditions will never be favorable at the same time but you need to start!
