Nassarawa State Government Stops Sponsorship Of Pilgrims To Saudi Arabia

Governor Al Makura of Nasarawa State, has suspended the tradition of sponsoring pilgrims to the holy land of Saudi Arabia.

The Executive Secretary of the State Muslim Pilgrim Welfare Board, Abubakar Hassan Nalaraba, made this known at a press conference in Lafia yesterday.
                             
According to him, this decision is in response in response to the financial crunch plaguing the state as a result of dwindling revenue.
