There are reports that doctors at the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Yaba have deserted the hospital over recurring attacks from some of their mentally challenged patients.
According to the President, Association of Resident Doctors of the hospital, Dr. Jeje Oyetayo, the doctors had to embark on an indefinite strike after the last attack on two female doctors at the outpatient unit of the hospital few weeks ago.
She said the hospital doesn't have trained security personnel to address this and it was getting out of hand.
This is just sad that the medical sector has come to this after all a psychiatric hospital should have well trained security personnel in place shouldn't it?
