Is The 9.2 Billion Naira Stove Scheme By Former President Jonathan To Be Terminated?

It seems like the N9.2 Billion cooking stoves contract awarded at the end of former President Goodluck Jonathan's administration has run into a hitch and might be terminated.

The stoves were meant to help make cooking easier for the rural women under the National Clean Cooking Scheme and to reduce and possibly eliminate cooking with solid fossil which is detrimental to health.

The contract was overseen by the then Vice-President, Namadi Sambo who even supervised some of the cooking stoves after a handful of them were supplied by the contractor.

According to the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Environment, Nana Fatima Mede, the contractor handling the project has failed to adhere to the laid down agreement.

Hmnnn.....I guess this means no more stoves right?
