NDLEA Arrests Pastor With Drugs Worth 609 Million Naira At Murtala Muhammed Intl Airport


This kind of news makes people question some supposed 'Men of God' and it is indeed very sad that this kind of thing can even happen.

The resident pastor of the Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim at Agodo-Egbe, Ikotun Lagos, has been arrested by  officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, over alleged unlawful exportation of 174 kg of narcotic drugs to South Africa.

Prophet Michael Raji was arrested at the cargo section of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, MMIA, during pre-shipment examination.

According to reports from the Daily Post, investigation shows that the 60 year old suspect, is a suspected top member of a drug syndicate operating in Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa.

He had three international passports bearing his photographs and different names. It was equally discovered that the church premises where he ministers also serves as a warehouse for narcotics.

The estimated street value of the drugs found on him was 609 Million Naira and the drugs, 91kg of Methamphetamine and 83kg of Ephedrine were hidden inside large bags of foodstuff.


Confirming the arrest, NDLEA commander at the Lagos Airport, Hamza Umar described the suspect as a smooth operator.
