Still fresh from winning the African Women's Player of The Year award, 20 year old Asisat Oshoala has been signed on by professional football team, Liverpool Ladies known as the Reds, today.
Asisat has been described as an explosive forward and was voted as the most valuable player at the U20 World Cup in Canada in 2014. She also finished as the top goalscorer as Nigeria finished runners up to Germany.
Meanwhile, Liverpool Ladies manager, Matt Beard is currently preparing for the Women Super League, WSL, kick-off in March when the Reds are also hoping for an improved Champions League performance.
Asisat says it has always been her dream to become a professional footballer and joining the reigning WSL champions is indeed a dream come through.
