Doctors In China Are Being Punished For Taking Selfies During Surgery

Can you imagine being punished for taking a selfie? Well that is what happened to the Senior executives and a team of medical staff from a Chinese hospital in Shaanxi.

They have been punished this week for taking group pictures next to unconscious patients after surgery. The pictures were circulated on Sina Weibo, a Chinese microblogging site, and in the pictures, one of the medical personnel even makes a V-sign while other doctors are seen leaning over the patient.

The Xi'an Bureau of Public Health has taken action for these pictures by removing three top executives from administrative duties at the privately-run Fengcheng Hospital. The other staff were then issued stern warnings and lost 3 months salary.

The hospital was also made to issue a public statement and apology as the surgery selfie shows a lack of professional ethics.

Hmnnn....what do you think? Is it right for doctors to take surgery selfies?
