From one sport disappointment to the other as Nigeria’s fastest woman, Blessing Okagbare's husband has been refused American Visa to join his wife on their honeymoon.
The couple got married on the 8th of November and her husband Igho Otegheri applied for a visa to join his wife in the United States where she is training for next year’s Beijing IAAF World Championships.
According to reports, he was denied visa clearance for undisclosed reasons, even after the wife had tendered every necessary document.
Reacting to this shocking development, Blessing Okagbare is appealing to the authorities to intervene as she says this will affect her concentration on her training for the season in Los Angeles and it won't be easy for her to shuttle between Nigeria and the states every time.
