There have been reports in the past couple of days that some members of the Boko Haram sect have willingly surrendered to military authorities.In line with this the development,the Federal Government now says they would be rehabilitated before being integrated back into the society(like seriously???)
The Coordinator of the National Information Centre (NIC) and Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mike Omeri, made this known yesterday at a briefing in Abuja where he explained that the rehabilitation strategy, as contained in the counter-terrorism document launched by the government, would be strictly followed in handling the surrendered insurgents.
According to him, those who surrendered would be taken through the process of de-radicalisation and rehabilitation, so that they will be admitted into society and given the opportunity to continue contributing their own quota to the development of this country.(again I say like seriously?)
I honestly cant explain why I am not too comfortable with this rehabilitation matter…Lord have mercy,what say ye?
