Its So Scary That Robbers Have Guts To Attack Police Station In Epe!

Its really alarming to hear that robbers had the impunity to attack a police station and that is exactly what happened over the weekend as armed robbers attacked the Marine Police Post of the Lagos State Police Command in the Epe area.

Reports indicate that the robbers exchanged gunfire with the policemen while attempting to steal the station’s gunboat and ammunition! A gunboat is a naval watercraft used for carrying one or more guns to bombard coastal targets and also for moving troops or supplies(mesef go Google am!)

According to Punch newspaper, about 20 of them came to the police station in a speedboat but luckily, policemen from the Epe division, the Rapid Response Squad and the Counter-Terrorism Unit, were able to repel the attack.

There are speculations that their mission was to kill the policemen, dismantle the security structures around the place so that they could embark on a bank robbery during the week.

Confirming the attack, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Joe Offor, said the robbers succeeded in sinking the gunboat but no policeman was killed.
