What! Posionous Ponmo Seems To Be In Circulation!

If you are like me that loves eating Ponmo even though we have been told it has no nutritional value, then this is heartbreaking news...Lol!

This is because there are reports that Ogun State government have uncovered poisonous Ponmo in some markets in the state.

The Commissioner for Agriculture, Ronke Sokefun made this known yesterday in Abeokuta while warning people against its consumption. According to her, some people are selling industrial ‘Ponmo’ laden with chemicals to the unsuspecting public.

This toxic ‘Ponmo’ is often brownish black, foul smelling, abnormally thick with layers and ridiculously cheap compared to the real thing as tanning chemicals like biocides and fungicides have been put on it!
