The driver of the trailer from which a container fell off the Ojuelegba bridge on Wednesday, has been arrested.
Although the container had crushed an SUV, killing the 4 occupants of the vehicle, the driver of the other Nissan saloon car, Lasisi Akeem, whose car was partially crushed, survived the crash.
The driver, Wasiu Adeleke is a resident of Ibadan, and was the one driving the 20-feet container loaded with cement and armored doors which wasn't properly latched.
After hours of sawing out the container parts, it was finally evacuated from the top of the SUV and the bodies of the 4 male occupants of the car were recovered but their identities are yet to be known due to the mangled state of the SUV and its occupants.
