Contrary To Reports, CBN Governor Says No MDA Is Exempted From The Treasury Single Account

Contrary to reports that President Buhari had exempted some government establishments from the Treasury Single Account, TSAs, the CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, said that is not the case.


He says he is yet to get any memo or directive that exempts any Ministries, Departments and Agencies from the TSA and they should all continue to comply with the movement of accounts from other banks to the CBN.


Emefiele also assured that Nigerian banks are still safe, in spite of the movement of money due to the TSA policy and that the CBN would continue to monitor the liquidity of the banks to make sure that they did not slide into difficult terrain.
