The Ogun State Government has begun the evacuation of beggars and destitutes from major roads within Abeokuta, the state capital.
Speaking on this development, the Director, Rehabilitation Services, Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Kehinde Egbeolowo, says this action has become necessary due to the increasing number of beggars and destitutes along major roads in the state capital.
He encouraged people with challenges requiring the ministry’s assistance to feel free to approach the Rehabilitation Services Department.
