Despite the fact that Nigeria hasn't recorded any polio case in the past one year, Arabian country, Qatar, has banned Nigerian travelers who don't have a valid polio vaccination certificate from entering their country.
Speaking on this development, the permanent secretary of the FCT, John Obinna Chukwu , urged stakeholders and intending travelers, on the need to obtain duly signed and stamped yellow book on polio and other communicable diseases to avoid embarrassment at the port of entry into the country.
a bit of a bummer but i guess it is the moral vis-a-vis civic responsibility of nations to protect its citizens esp on health grounds.
