The bursar of Yaba College of Technology YABATECH, Olugbenga Ibirogba has been sacked by the Governing Council of the school.
According to reports from News Agency Of Agency, NAN, it was released in a statement issued in Lagos by the Head, Public Relations Unit of the college, Charles Oni.
It was alleged that Mr Ibirogba instigated some members of staff to write petitions against the authorities and he also failed to appear before a disciplinary committee set up by the council to investigate his case. There were also allegations that he gave unauthorized disclosure of official information.
However, he did not back down as recent reports from This Day newspaper state that he is still accusing the rector, Magret Kudirat Ladipo of financial misappropriation.
He gave allegations of inflation of contract, divided royalty of the rector allegedly using her company to bid, secure and execute contract for the school, purchase of cars, collection of manipulated and bloated estacode running into millions of naira among many other allegations.
He has taken it further by writing to President Buhari to intervene in the matter of financial impropriety currently going on in the institution.
I just hope it all gets sorted out soon as it is not too good for the image of the respected institution.
