The 78 year old pontiff became the first Pope to visit the country in 30 years and the crowd was massive with about one million people turning up to hear him speak.
Ecuador was the first leg of his 3 nation tour of South America and the Pope also looked very happy to be at the open air mass.
The priests present at the event were also in on the action as they were seen snapping away with their various gadgets.
