While Americans were having fun setting off fireworks to celebrate the 4th of July, a young man took the fun a little too far and lost his life in the process.
22 year old Devon Staples who used to work at Disney World and loved making people laugh, placed a firework on his head and set it off, unfortunately, he didn't live to tell the story.
According to his brother who was there, they couldn't even rush him to the hospital as there was nothing of Devon left after the explosion!
Spokesman the Maine Department of Public Safety, Stephen McCausland, also confirmed the accident.
