With the increasing wave of cult activities in Lagos, the police says the activities of cult groups and other associated criminal gangs in the state is becoming very disturbing.
In a statement by the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, neighborhoods and communities in like Mushin, Ikorodu, Lagos Island and environs have been rendered vulnerable by the activities of these hoodlums.
With this latest development, he says it has become imperative that parents and guardians warn their children and wards to be wary of the type of friends and associates they keep as the activities of these hoodlums are the root of armed robbery, kidnapping and other forms of violent crimes being experienced in many neighborhoods.
According to him, the safety of communities is a collective responsibility between the police and the communities and he is urging people to be more security conscious and also report the movement of strange faces within their locality.
