Police In Lagos Start Clamp Down Against Criminals In The State

In what can be said to be long overdue, the Police in Lagos have renewed operations to sanitise the state and over the weekend they arrested 16 suspects at different hideouts in the Ijora area.

According to reports, they were picked up after intelligence reports showed they were vital in assisting and providing cover for criminal gangs before and after different operations.

The police have also made it known that the raid is a continuous onslaught against criminals in all parts of the state by the state government in its bid to create a secured environment for residents.

Meanwhile the Rapid Response Squad commander, Olatunji Disu, confirmed the arrests and says it is based on the commitment of Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode to make the state safe.
