It sure seems like so many former governors are being punished for their alleged offences in this present administration.
The recent former governor getting another court ruling today is Ikedi Ohakim of Imo State who has been granted bail by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja in the sum of 270 Million Naira!
According to reports, he was arraigned before Justice Ademola Adeniyi by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over an alleged fraud of the same amount, perpetrated in 2008.
The judge also ruled that the former governor must produce a surety resident in Abuja to guarantee the bail and that the EFCC should submit his passport and other travel documents to the Deputy Chief Registrar of the court.
Meanwhile earlier today, former Jigawa governor, Sule Lamido and his 2 sons were sentenced to 2 months in jail and just yesterday, former governor of Enugu state, Chimaroke Nnamani, was asked to forfeit some of his assets and millions of Naira.
Hmnnn....so who is next?
