When I first heard this news yesterday, I was quite sad at the messy details and shocked that someone like Emeka Ike who fought tooth and nail with Ibinabo Fiberesima to become president of the Actors Guild, can be guilty of such.
However, news spread all over social media, that Suzanne Rero Ike, his wife of 15 years who he has 4 children with, has filed for divorce over alleged domestic violence.
According to her testimony in court, she has been her husband's punching bag as Emeka Ike beats her during every misunderstanding and also verbally abuses her by calling her derogatory names.
The part I hate the most is that she says he doesn’t allow her speak with their first two children. Meanwhile, the case has been adjourned by the court to July 22.
