Is is so sad that while many young Nollywood actors and actresses are showing off new houses, cars and designer stuff on social media, the opposite seems to be the case for the veterans. It is either we hear the news of many them being sick or outrightly dying from lack of financial help.
One of such actors, Lari Williams, is calling for help from philanthropists because he is homeless and going blind. Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, in Lagos yesterday, he said that he was only conferred with a Member of the Federal Republic, MFR, honors by the government, without any cash backing.
He also expressed sadness at the hardship being experienced by veteran entertainers across Nigeria with no help in sight despite the fact that they helped to build the entertainment sector that many people are benefiting from today.
