The Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode is taking positive steps to curb the hardship faced by motorists that ply the Apapa-oshodi expressway due to the incessant traffic gridlock majorly caused by tanker drivers.
According to him, a special task force team will be set up to ensure free flow of traffic in the area and tanker drivers who park indiscriminately on the bridges and roads in Apapa will now be sanctioned.
Taking further steps, Ambode has also called on President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene to complete all the federal projects that have been abandoned in the area including the Tin Can Bridge that is still under construction as well as the trailer park which is meant to contain about 500 trailers.
