Following the leadership tussle in the Celestial Church of Christ, CCC, a new spiritual head has finally emerged.
According to reports from Guardian Newspaper, Reverend Olatoso Matthew Oshoffa, the 20th child of the late CCC founder, Samuel Bilewu Joseph Oshoffa, is now the new spiritual head.
He takes over the seat vacated by his elder brother, Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, following a court order.
Speaking at a briefing in Lagos, Olatoso Oshoffa said he has been ordained by God and elders in the church to be the new spiritual head and unify various factions. He also said his late father appeared to him in a dream to give him the go-ahead as the new leader.
It would be recalled that an Ilaro High Court in Ogun State had on March 26, 2015, terminated the tenure of Emmanuel Oshoffa, under whom Olatoso served as personal assistant.
He also made it known that his priority would, include uniting the church, ensuring physical and spiritual growth, improving welfare of members and workers as well as completion and commissioning of the Imeko cathedral and other infrastructure within 5 years.
