Meanwhile, Korede Bello is trending on social media for being invited to perform his hit song God Win in church.
A US based Pastor, Olusola Fabunmi has criticized Harvesters International Christian Centre, HICC, for inviting Korede to perform this song to mark the Easter celebration.
According to Pastor Fabunmi the Godwin song is not holy and Korede is not a gospel singer, so he shouldn't have been allowed to perform in the church.
Below are his actual words:
“There must be clearly defined boundaries of who should sings or ministers in churches. Some of the question that comes to mind are; is he born again? Sanctified with the spirit of God and baptised in the Holy Spirit?
Let’s ask ourselves, what’s even the purpose of people singing in churches and Christian concerts?
“So, I believe very strongly that one major purpose of choristers or psalmists singer is to prepare the minds and hearts of the word of God that is to come shortly”.
“ I wish to submit by saying that the only differences that makes the differences between Churches gatherings/ programs and other like clubs, parties is the presence of Almighty God,”
If his performance wins souls for christ. What's the problem? Anyone can sing gospel songs does not mean they are holy.
