The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has announced that it has been able to distribute about 79% of the total permanent voters cards, PVC, available for collection by voters in the country.
With 8 days to the deadline for the collection of PVCs, the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman of the commission, Kayode Idowu, said out of 68,833,476 cards, 54,327,747 have been distributed so far, leaving a total of 14,505,729 PVCs yet to be collected.
This might seem a good enough reason for the former election date to be shifted right? I don't think so as according to the Mr Idowu, only about 2,052,380 cards have been distributed between February 17 and now.
