Few Days To Election, Boko Haram Kidnap Over 400 Women & Children In Damasak, Borno

With barely few days to the Presidential election, suspected Boko Haram foot soldiers have reportedly kidnapped about 400 women and children from Damasak town in Borno State.

According to reports from Reuters, they were part of those freed earlier this month by troops from Niger and Chad before they were recaptured again.

Although the military is yet to confirm this new development, residents said most of the victims were children and young women and that about 50 people were killed before the others were taken away.
