Nigeria Becomes China's Largest Source Of Imports With 38 Billion Naira Worth Of Trade

The volume of trade between Nigeria and China hits 38 Billion Naira. This is according to the Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China in Lagos, Liu Kan.

Speaking with the News Agency Of Nigeria, NAN, he says this is a major increase from the trade done in 2013. As at today, Nigeria is China’s third major export destination in Africa after South Africa and Angola, while China is Nigeria’s largest source of imports and third major trade partner.

Liu Kan said that Chinese companies have invested in Nigeria’s construction, oil and gas, telecommunications, agriculture, real estate sectors and free trade zones and have so far been satisfied with both countries’ present level of win-win co-operation.

He also disclosed plans by more Chinese companies to come and invest in Nigeria while appealing to the Federal Government to continue to create the right environment for more Chinese companies to come in and invest.

Hmnnnn......Made in China anyone?
