Following the disruption of the APC rally in Rivers state yesterday, Governor Rotimi Amaechi has blamed Dame Patience Jonathan for the attack on members and supporters of the APC, in Okrika, Rivers State.
The attack disrupted their campaign in Okrika Local Government area with gun shots heard and there was even an initial scare that there was a bomb explosion which was later said to be firecrackers.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja after an APC leaders’ meeting at the Shehu Yar’Adua centre, the governor condemned the act of violence and expressed disappointment over the law enforcement agents’ failure to ensure a hitch free campaign for the APC.
Governor Amaechi said despite having 200 policemen present at the rally, they couldn't protect the people and some were injured and stabbed. A Channels TV reporter was also wounded in the fracas.
