CBN Governor Says No Cause For Alarm Despite Falling Price Of Naira To Dollar

Despite the falling price of the naira to the dollar, the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Governor, Godwin Emefiele, insists that there is no need for panic.

As at yesterday, the naira slipped further to close at N206/$1 in the interbank market, as against N205.90/$1 from the previous day.
Although he confirmed that we are not in the best of times fiscally, he says there’s no need to panic as Nigeria's economy remains resilient.

Emefiele also reassured investors that CBN will continue to meet legitimate foreign exchange demand and that they are doing everything within their power to ensure price stability.

Hmnnn....it is well
