This is indeed sad news as 38 year old Sharrif Wilson who was wrongfully imprisoned for 20 years is now dead barely a year after being released.
He died Saturday night at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan after suffering from breathing problems and other health issues.
He was released from jail 20 years after DNA evidence led to his freedom, according to a statement from his attorney's office.
Sharrif was arrested in June 1992, along with his friend Anthony Yarbough, when he was just 15 years old, for the murder of Yarbough's 40 year old mother, 12 year old sister and 12 year old cousin.
May his soul rest in peace.....
