As if we don't have enough to worry with trying to understand the full functions of smartphones, some technology geeks are coming up with a device that literally turns your skin into a smartphone!
The bracelet called the Cicret, will be able to check an email or watch a film that’s projected onto your forearm, and control the picture by using your skin like a touchscreen using a tiny built in projector.
According to the makers of the device, Guillaume Pommier, who founded technology company Cicret with Pascal, his software developer father, they are currently raising money to put it into production on their website.
The Cicret can do anything a phone or tablet can, allowing wearers to read emails, surf the web, watch videos, play games and even make phone calls without relying on a conventional screen.
Infact, the bracelet will spring to life with the flick of a wrist and could be used to answer a phone call with a 3G card. Guillaume also explained that the device may use a new technology that allows SIM details to be put into the hardware, instead of requiring its own SIM card.
Although still in development stage, a working prototype is due to be unveiled in a few weeks' time and they hope that the bracelet could be on the shelves by June next year.
There are speculations that it is likely to cost around £300 on its launch and will come in 16GB and 32GB models as well as a choice of 10 colours.
The applications for the bracelet are vast and it will be able to do anything a phone or tablet can do but without the need for a hard screen.
