Jagaban As APC Vice President Candidate? Buhari Counters Reports Of Amaechi As Running Mate

Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Muhammadu Buhari has countered the reports that Rivers state Governor, Rotimi Amaechi has been chosen as his running mate.

According to This Day newspaper, Buhari has taken a decision by asking APC leader Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to recommend his running mate, including possibly himself.

Although many of the leaders of the party believe that Tinubu should concede the vice presidential slot to Edo state Governor Adams Oshiomhole or Rotimi Amaechi and emerge as the national chairman of the party so that he would be able to influence appointments in favour of the South-west.

There has also been a recent APC resolution against a Muslim/Muslim Presidential ticket and Bola Tinubu is also a muslim just as Buhari is.

However, the party has till next week to come to a resolution on who to pick and we are all waiting eagerly as well. I just hope they make the right choice at the end of the day.
