Professor Yemi Osibajo Emerges Vice Presidential Candidate Of The APC

After days of speculation and wrong guesses, presidential Candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, Gen Mohammadu Buhari has finally settled for  former Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice in Lagos State, Professor Yemi Osibajo as his running mate.

This choice of Osibajo, puts to rest the vice presidential ambition of Rivers State governor, Rotimi Ameachi, who many believed had a chance on account of his heavy financial investment in the Buhari presidential project.

It also puts to rest the rumor of a muslim- muslim ticket as there were indications that Governor Fashola and even Bola Tinubu were being considered.
Professor Yemi Osibajo comes with a lot of experience in public service as he previously served as the Special Adviser to the Attorney General of Nigeria between 1988 and 1992. He later became the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Lagos State in 1999 and was re-appointed for a second term in 2003.

He has also served in various roles within the United Nations, United Nations Centre on Transnational Corporations, the United Nations African Institute for Crime Prevention, the International Criminal Court for Rwanda in Arusha, Tanzania, the department of Peacekeeping operations and the United Nations Peace Operations in Somalia.

I guess this is General Muhammadu Buhari's birthday present to himself....Lol
