With the rising rate of Boko Haram attacks in the Northern part of Nigeria, a new global study by the London-based Institute for Economics and Peace has ranked us number 4 on the Global Terrorism Index (GTI) in the world.
Iraq comes in 3rd, with 2,492 attacks that killed more than 6,300 people while Afghanistan and Pakistan, ranked first, second respectively. Syria, which is now driven by a devastating civil war, is ranked fifth.
