Morocco Banned From AFCON 2015 By CAF For Refusal To Host Tournament

Morocco has been banned from the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON by the Confederation of African Football, CAF, because they refused to host the upcoming tournament.

They had initially asked CAF to move the dates of the competition because of the spread of the deadly Ebola virus. But the football body refused and remained adamant, before Morocco eventually pulled out.

CAF also stated that a new host for the continental competition will be announced soon, after a few countries indicated their interest in hosting.

Na wa o....is it compulsory to host an event?
