As if award winning singer Tuface Idibia and his family don't have enough to worry about with the sudden death of his father, Micheal Idibia from cancer, there seems to be a looming war between the family of Idibia Ije and the Amafu community in Okpokwu LGA of Benue State according to reports.
The burial was last week and allegedly, his mum, Mrs Rose Idibia was attacked by the kinsmen for not allowing Tuface complete building of a house in the village. Daily post reports that one of the conditions given by the Idibia family was for Tuface to build a befitting house where his father would be laid to rest, since he is the star among them. They also asked that he grade the road leading to Amufu, their home town from Ojapo for easy access during the burial.
Tuface actually sent in some money for the building project and the upgrading of the road started, a development which made the residents happy. However, the project was not completed as Tuface promised to continue after his father's burial. This was not taken well by the kinsmen hence all the drama because they claim it was his mother who influenced that decision.
My questions is this...is Tuface obliged to do this for his people? what say ye?
