Lionel Messi Breaks Champion League Record With 74 Goals


27 year old Lionel Messi has broken another record yesterday night, after scoring a hat-trick in Barcelona’s 4-0 demolition of APOEL, to take his Champions League goals to 74.

Meanwhile, Luis Suarez scored his first goal for the club, before Messi doubled Barca’s lead with an instinctive finish. He scored twice in the second half, to grab his second hat-trick in 3 days.

Elsewhere, Messi’s international team-mate Sergio Aguero, also scored a hat-trick, as Manchester City overcame 10 man Bayern Munich 3-2 at the Etihad.
