Nothing beats being publicly acknowledged and appreciated for a work well done and that is exactly what urban and lifestyle station City105.1Fm has achieved as they picked up the award for Best Radio Station In Lagos at the Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards, NBMA 2014, which held on Saturday at the Ballroom of Oriental Hotel.
When you consider the fact that there are presently 26 radio stations and counting in Lagos state alone then you realise it is indeed a BIG DEAL!!
The NBMA, as the name implies, is an award ceremony organized to celebrate, honour, and appreciate past, current and dead broadcasters, who have distinguished themselves as role models, mentors, and propagators of social change in the society.
It also celebrates people in this vocation who have had a memorable impact on their listeners and viewers over the years through their programmes, as they educate, inform, entertain, and promote peace.
Being a part of the CityFm family, I want to say indeed it has been collective hardwork from EVERYBODY that has brought us thus far and of course we'll continue to set the pace and not rest on our oars.
