Beef In The Catholic Church? Pope Re-assigns Conservative Cardinal

Since Pope Francis took over the Catholic church, he has been open to so many things that have been frowned at by conservative Catholics including his openness and inclusiveness of gays and lesbians.

He has just reassigned a Cardinal to the position of Patron Of The Order of Malta in a move which is seen as a demotion of sorts.

Cardinal Raymond Burke is a leading conservative who has been vocal in his criticism of the direction the Pope is leading the Catholic Church. He is also one of the highest ranking Americans in the church hierarchy in his position on the Vatican's supreme court.

However, the Vatican has announced his reassignment without giving any reason for his new position which has almost no responsibilities.

So far, the Pope has appointed moderates in several big dioceses, including in Chicago earlier this year and he's removed some arch-conservatives from their posts
