In spite of the Ebola scare, the Confederations of African Football, CAF, has insisted that next year’s Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON competition, will be held between January 17 and February 8, 2015.
Morocco had been chosen as the country to host the event but their Ministry of Youth and Sports, had approached the football body to postpone the tournament, because of the Ebola outbreak.
However, after the meeting in Algiers, CAF’s Executive Committee says the dates will not be changed and they have given Morocco until the 8th of November, to decide if they will host the continental fiesta or not.
