In steps to ensure that Nigeria remains Ebola free, the Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities are making a case for the establishment of Ebola Virus Disease Focal Centres in Nigerian universities.

While speaking with the News Agency Of Nigeria, NAN, today in Abuja, the Secretary-General of the Committee, Professor Michael Faborode, said that such centres would take care of quarantine, treatment and development of Ebola vaccines.

He said this practical approach to research will help develop an effective, preventive and curative cure for the disease which continues to ravage some parts of the African sub-region.
